DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep grief at the death of renowned film-maker, director and actor Amjad Hossain.
In a condolence message, the premier said his death is an irreparable loss to the film industry.
Amjad Hossain will live among us through his outstanding contributions, the premier also said.
Earlier, Sheikh Hasina gave Taka 20 lakhs for his better treatment and Taka 22 lakhs for air ambulance fare.
Eminent film director Amjad Hossain died at Bumrungrad International Hospital in Bangkok.
Amjad Hossain breathed his last at 2:57 pm (Bangladesh Local Time) on Friday (December 14).
