SYLHET:  A stone businessman was stabbed to death even after filing a General Diary (GD) for safety with Companiganj police station.

35-year-old Shukur Ali was brutally stabbed by 15-20 men at Parua Tintola Building area of Companiganj on Wednesday morning (November 21), according to eyewitnesses.

“Shukur was a robber, but he had been doing stone businessman for a time. A Jubo League leader, accompanied by his men, injured him seriously with sharp weapons,” Tajul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Companiganj police station, told Banglanews.

Later, he was pronounced dead at Upazila Health Complex. The body was sent to MAG Osmani Medical College morgue, OC said.
