SIRAJGANJ: A district court has sentenced death penalty to a man for killing his wife in Shahjadpur upazila of Sirajganj.

Judge Fazle Khoda Md Nazir of Sirajganj Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-1 passed the order on Monday (Nov 19) with Tk 10,000 fine for the convict.

The death row convict is identified as Mahiruddin, 46, son of one Abu Akkas of Kandapara village of the upazila. 

Court APP Anwar Parvez confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
