No rooftop parties even allowed on 31st night

DHAKA: Home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said no New Year programs can be held on the 31st night on rooftops or in outdoor spaces this year due to the 11th parliamentary election.

Kamal made the remarks to reporters on Sunday (Nov 18) after holding a security measures related meeting on News Years Eve and Christmas.

Moreover, all sorts of gatherings, playing loud music, dancing, concerts, fireworks, crackers, balloons are also not allowed on 31st night, the minister added.
