RAJSHAHI: A young man was killed and ten others injured as a bus overturned after losing control in Haripur of Rajshahi early Friday (Nov 16).

The deceased couldn’t be identified immediately.

On information, police members from Damkura Police Station went to the spot.

Damkura Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Latif confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The injured were taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH). Firefighters from Rajshahi Sadar Fire Service Station conducted rescue efforts.  

A Chapainawabganj-bound bus of Desh Travels hit a tree after losing control around 8:30am, leaving the unidentified man dead on the spot and the others injured.

The body was sent to RMCH morgue, for an autopsy.

Efforts are on to identify the deceased. A case will be filed over the incident, said the OC.
