BOGRA: A woman reportedly committed suicide after poisoning her six-month-old baby to death following a quarrel with the husband in Sherpur upazila of Bogra on Thursday afternoon (Nov 15).

The deceased were identified as Shanta Begum, 19, wife of one Mamunur Rashid of Bagra Colony in Sherpur upazila and their six-month-old son Babu.

The incident took place at noon. They were taken to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital where on-duty physician declared them dead on-arrival at afternoon. 

Bogra Chilimpur town’s police outpost sub-inspector (TSI) Abdul Aziz Mandal told Banglanews, according to locals, Shanta poisoned herself and her kid out of discontent caused by her husband.
