DHAKA: Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urged all the nomination seekers of the party to work in harmony for the party no matter who gets final nomination.

She also warned that is anyone opposes party nominated candidates will be expelled from the party for life.

The AL president gave the message to all the nomination seekers who sat with her at Ganabhaban on Wednesday (Nov 14).

Later in the afternoon, AL general secretary Obaidul Quader said it at a press conference at Sheikh Hasina’s Dhanmondi political office.

Quader said, “AL nomination seekers were interviewed at Ganbhaban. Party President Sheikh Hasina categorically said not everyone will be nominated but everyone will have to work in unity for the party. If anybody who opposes this decision will face expulsion from the party.”

According to sources, PM Hasina told her party’s nomination seekers that candidates will be nominated based on reports of various surveys on their popularity.
