DHAKA: The activities of selling and submission of BNP nomination papers resumed after around 1.5 hours of suspension following a clash with law enforcers in front of city’s Nayapaltan Central office on Wednesday (November 14).
The process has started at 2:30 pm.
Taiful Islam Tipu, an official of BNP central office, confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
Earlier in the day around 1 pm, the process of selling and submission of nomination forms was halted due to untoward incident in front of city’s Nayapaltan Central office.
BNP leaders and activists set fire to two police vans following a clash with law enforcers.
Police fired rubber bullets, used teargas, and charged batons to disperse the agitating supporters. Three gates of BNP central office were locked from inside.
