Boat capsize: 3 bodies recovered from Padma

MADARIPUR: Rescuers recovered the bodies of three people including a child who went missing after a speed boat on Shimulia-Kathalbari route had been capsized in Padma river yesterday afternoon.

Divers and naval policemen recovered the bodies from river near Shibchar area of Madaripur district at 11:30am Monday (Nov 12).

The deceased were identified as Kishoreganj district prison guard Md Razu, 25, son of one Abdur Rahman of Pasannapur village in Maksudpur upazila of Gopalganj, his wife Lima 20 and Fatema, 8, daughter of one Rubel Gazi of Baufal upazila in Patuakhali.

Earlier on Sunday afternoon (Nov 11), a speed boat carrying 24 people capsized after being hit by a dump ferry. Army patrol boat managed to rescue 21 passengers but three went missing. 
Mawa naval police outpost in-charge Arman Hossain also confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
