43 robbers surrender to Home Minister

COX’S BAZAR: Forty-three forest and sea robbers of Maheshkhail and Kutubdia upazilas of the district gave up their arms and surrendered to Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Saturday.

The bandits, from six groups, surrendered their weapons – 94 guns and 637 rounds of bullets in a program of RAB-7 at Adarsha Uccha Biddyaloy filed under Maheshkahli municipality this noon, Banglanews correspondent reports.

Ten members of ‘Anzu Bahini’, 15 from ‘Jalal Bahini’, nine from ‘Ayub Bahini’ two from 'Ramiz Bahini’, six of ‘Nurul Alam Prokash Kalabda Bahini’ and another one from ‘Alauddin bahini’–all from notorious bandits’ group of Maheshkhali and Kutubdia- surrendered.

Asaduzzaman Khan attended the program as chief gust while Lt Col Miftah Uddin Ahmed presided over the program. RAB director general Benazir Ahmed also attended the event as special guest.
