DHAKA: A namaj-e-janaja of legendary rock musician and guitarist Ayub Bacchu will be held at the High Court mosque adjacent to the National Eidgah in Dhaka Friday (Oct 19).

Afterwards, his body will be flown to his ancestral residence in Chittagong.

The rockstar will be buried at his family graveyard in the port city Saturday (Oct 20).  

Theatre personality Nasir Uddin Yusuf Bacchu briefed media regarding this.

LRB frontman Ayub Bacchu, fondly called as AB, fell sick at his residence in Dhaka early Thursday (Oct 18).

He was pronounced dead by the physicians at Square Hospital in Panthapath, at 9:55am.

AB was battling cardiac complexities for a prolonged period.

However, departure of the rock maestro brought immense shock to his fanbase and in the cultural hub of the country.
