NARSINGDI: Miscreants hacked two brothers to death centering drug trade at Jamaila Kandi village in narsingdi sadar upazila on Wednesday afternoon (Sep 26).

The deceased were identified as Khalil Mia, 25 and Waliullah, 20, sons of one Kabir Hossain of the Jamaila Kandi village under Nazarpur union.

Quoting locals and victims’ father, Nazarpur UP chairman Badal Sarker said Khalil and his younger brother Waliullah was locked in a dispute with their cousin uncle Rashed over controlling drug trading in the area. Recently the duo got out jail after securing bail in a case filed by rivals. They went to Rashed’s house today and beat him up over the matter. Rashed and his brother Khorshed then hacked them to death. On information, police recovered the bodies. 

Narsingdi sadar model police station officer-in-charge (OC) Md Syeduzzaman said the deceased brothers were accused in six cases altogether. However, legal action is being taken over the murder.
