BOGRA: Two members of a family were killed and four other injured as a rod-laden truck plunged into a roadside ditch in Shahjahanpur upazila of Bogra on Wednesday noon (Sep 26).

The deceased were identified as Zaheda, 55, wife of one Kayum of Shahpara area in Thakurgaon sadar upazila and their daughter Sabina, 16.

Eyewitnesses said the accident happened on Dhaka-Bogra highway as two trucks collided head-on and Dhaka-bound truck fell into a ditch leaving two passengers dead on spot. 

Bogra Silimpur town police outpost sub-inspector (SI) Abdul Aziz told Banglanews that the truck driver and helper among four others were injured in the crash. They were taken to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital.
