NARAYANGANJ: Two persons died after thunderbolts struck them in Sonargaon Upazila of the district on Tuesday (September 25).

The deceased were identified as Rahima Begum, 32, wife of Abdul Maleq, hailed from Fuldi village under Bardi union, and Fulchan, 22, son of Sadu Miah, from Nunertek village of the same union.

“Rahima Begum was struck by lightning while being outside to fetch clothes and Fulchan was struck when fishing during rains,” said Morshed Alam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sonargaon Police Station quoting locals.
