Drug dealer killed in Mirpur ‘gunfight’

DHAKA:  An unidentified drug dealer was killed during a gunfight with Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in city’s Mirpur Beribadh area on Monday (September 24).

Senior Assistant Director ASP Mizanur Rahman of RAB’s Legal and Media Wing said: “A band of drug dealers started firing at RAB members. In self defense, RAB responded to them, resulting in the death of an unidentified drug dealer, while injuring 2 RAB members.”

“A large amount of drugs along with foreign 2 pistols were recovered from the spot,” ASP Mizanur Rahman added.
