LALMONIRHAT: Rail communications between Lalmonirhat and Dhaka resumed after 24 hours of suspension due to bridge damage incident in Bogra.

Lalmonirhat divisional railway additional transport officer Sazzat Hossain confirmed the matter to Bnaglanews on Sunday noon (Sep 23).

Earlier on Saturday noon (Sep 22), rail communication snapped after a railway bridge (35/F) in Bogra’s Sonatala area was found damaged due to flood. 

Sazzat Hossain said flood water caused the bridge pillars slightly displaced and the rail tracks became uneven and risky for train plying. Railway engineering department started to repair the bridge on Saturday afternoon. The bridge became functional again by Sunday noon.
