10 districts get new DCs

DHAKA: In a major reshuffle in the administration, the government has appointed new Deputy Commissioners (DCs) to 10 districts.

The public administration ministry issued a notification on Sunday (Sept 23) in this regard.

According to the notification, new deputy commissioners have been appointed to Barguna, Pirojpur, Brahmanbaria, Tangail, Narail, Natore, Chuadanga, Magura, Satkhira and Bogra.

Deputy Secretary of Public Administration Ministry Kabir Mahmud has been transferred to Barguna as DC while deputy secretary of Secondary and Higher Education Department Abu Ary Md Sazzad Hoosain made DC of Pirojpur.

Foreign Secretary's personal secretary (deputy secretary) Hayat-ud-Doula Khan made DC of Brahmanbaria while Local Government Division deputy secretary Md. Shahidul Islam made DC of Tangail.

Local Government Division deputy secretary Begum Anjuman Ara made DC of Narail while Bangladesh Shipping Corporation General Manager (Deputy Secretary) Mohammad Golamur Rahman made DC of Natore. 

Deputy Secretary of Primary and Mass Education Ministry Gopal Chandra Das made DC of Chuadanga while Deputy Secretary of Directorate General of Health Services Md Ary Akber made DC of Magura.

Deputy Secretary of Housing and Public Works Department SM Mostafa Kamal made DC of Satkhira while Housing and Public Works minister’s personal secretary (deputy secretary) Foyez Ahmed transferred as new DC of Bogra.
