‘Drug trader’ killed in Jhenaidah ‘shootout’

JHENAIDAH: A drug dealer was killed in a shootout erupted among two groups of his fellow dealers in Kotchandpur upazila of Jhenaidah at early hours of Sunday (Sept 23). 

The deceased was identified as Selim Hossain, 42.

Kotchandpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Biplab Kumar Nath confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

The shootout took place at Boluhor Dakattola area, around 2am.

Police rushed to the scene hearing sounds of gunshots. 
Selim was found shot dead as the drug dealers fled the scene sensing presence of the law enforcers.

A one-shooter gun, 2 rounds of bullet, 40 bottles phensedyl, 300 piece yaba and a private car were recovered from the spot.
