NARAYANGANJ: Police recovered bodies of two madrasa students from a pond in Fatullah town of Narayanganj on Friday (September 21).

The deceased were identified as Shawon Rahman, 9, son of Habibur Rahamn, hailed from Bhuirbag area of Fatullah, a student of Deobog Water Tank Madrasa, and Nayan Gazi, son of Md Gazi, 9, a student of Deobog Madrasa.

“Shawon and Nayan are renters of the same house. They went missing since Thursday after had gone sightseeing. On information, police recovered their bodies from a pond at Bhuirbag area, as they were spotted by locals first,” said, Mujibur Rahman, Sub Inspector of Fatullah Model Police Station.

Presumably they drowned while bathing. However, post mortem report will reveal real cause of death, SI added.
