CUMILLA: Two persons were killed in separate road accidents in Burichang Upazila of the district on Thursday (September 20).

One of the deceased was identified as Abu Selim, son of Aji Uddin, hailed from Varera village of Sherpur district.

A Chattogram-bound mini covered van hit a vehicle at Korpai area of the upazila at 7:30 am, damaging front part of the covered van. As a result, the covered van driver died at the spot.

Meanwhile, police recovered an unidentified body of a man from Kalakchua area of the upazila around 7:30 am. The man believed to have died in a road accident.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Mainamati Highway Police station Mahbubur Rahman endorsed the deaths to Banglanews.
