DHAKA: Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been asked to keep hoisted local cautionary signal no.3 as the low over east central Bay and adjoining area intensified in to a well marked low over the same area. It is likely to intensify further.

All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay have been advised to remain close to the shore and proceed with caution until further notice.

Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Chittagong, Sylhet & Barishal divisions and at one or two places over Dhaka, Mymensingh & Khulna divisions, Met office forecasted.

Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.

Mild heat wave is sweeping over the regions of Dhaka, Tangail, Faridpur, Madaripur, Chittagong, Rangamati, Comilla, Chandpur, Feni, Khulna, Satkhira, Jashore, Chuadanga, Bhola and Patuakhali and it may abate.
