DHAKA: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) conducted a drive and detained six suspected drug dealers from Elephant Road of the capital city Wednesday (August 15) night.

The detainees include Jahir Ahmmed, a top drug dealer mainly active in Cox’s Bazar’s Teknaf upazila.

RAB Legal & Media Wing Senior Assistant Director ASP Mizanur Rahman disclosed the matter to media Thursday (August 16).

Huge yaba pills and Tk 16,64,100 cash money were recovered from their possession, according to the RAB official.

Details will be informed at a press briefing to be held at RAB Media Centre in Karwanbazar, he added.
