DHAKA: A suspected robber was killed and another one injured in a shootout with the members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Dhaka’s Gabtoli early Tuesday (March 20).

The deceased was identified as Badsha Mia, 35 and the injured is Hanif, 42. 

The shootout took place near Darussalam-Gabtoli Bus stand around 3am.   

Hanif and Badsha were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) with bullet injuries where the on-duty physician pronounced Badsha dead around 5:30am, DMCH police outpost Sub-Inspector (SI) Bacchu Mia told Banglanews quoting RAB-10.

“Hanif is undergoing treatment. The body of Badsha has been kept at the morgue,” added Bacchu.
