Crack Platoon guerrilla fighter Chullu passes away

DHAKA: Veteran freedom fighter Abul Masud Sadique Chullu has died from heart disease. He was 74.

The Crack Platoon member of the Liberation War breathed his last at his residence in Dhaka's Banani at 5pm on Monday.

During the Liberation War, Chullu participated in the bomb attack in the then Hotel
Intercontinental in Dhaka. He is the youngest brother of former Education Minister
ASHK Sadique and brother-in- law of State Minister for Public Administration Ismat
Ara Sadique. 

Chullu left his wife Yesmin Sadique, the only daughter Sanjana Sadique and many relatives and well-wishers behind to mourning his death. His daughter Sanjana Sadique is currently studying in the United States. 

He will be buried at Banani graveyard on Wednesday.

State Minister of Public Administration Ismat Ara Sadique expressed her deep condolences and sorrow on his death.
