3 JMB men to die, 4 get life in C’nawabganj murder case Convict at court premises

CHAPAI NAWABGANJ: Three members of banned militant outfit Jamaatul-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) were sentenced to death while four others given life imprisonment for killing a man namely Salman in Chapainawabganj.

District and Additional Sessions Judge Shawkot Ali handed down the verdict on Monday (November 25).

The death-raw convicts  were Sanowar Hossain, Jahangir Alam and Abdus Shukur.

The four  lifers were: Shamsul Haque, Abdul Motakabbir alias Bulbul, Saiful Islam and Shamim.

According to additional public prosecutor Anjuman Ara, the then ‘self-proclaimed’ Ameer Ruhul Amin alias Salman of JMB was killed by cutting his throat in Kholshi-Boria area of Nachol Upazila due to an internal conflict in Apr 26, 2012.
