DHAKA: Controversial Waz Mahfil speaker Mufti Muhammad Gias Uddin At Tahery has been sued under Digital Security Act.   

Dhaka Bar Association member Md Ibrahim Khalil lodged the case with the court of Bangladesh Cyber Tribunal Judge Mohammad As Shams Jaglul Hossain on Sunday (September 1).

The case has been filed under Digital Security Act's section 28 and 31.

Gias Uddin At Tahery, also the founding chairman of 'Dawat-e Imaani Bangladesh', came into spotlight after a waz mahfil (religious sermon session) video went viral on social media where he was seen joking with the attendees.
