BARISHAL: Police detained a youth in Barishal city for uploading photos and video of a young woman in social networking sites after raping her.

“The victim college girl’s grandfather submitted a written complained to Kotwali Police Station. Afterwards, 22-year-old Raihan was detained from VIP Colony area of the city,” Firoz Al-Mamun, Sub Inspector of the police station confirmed the matter on Thursday (August 22).

“This issue is being dealt with utmost care. A case is in process to be filed under rape and pornography act. Besides, those who found responsible will be brought to the book,” said Moazzem Hossen Bhuiya, deputy commissioner (south) of Barishal Metropolitan police.
