BARGUNA: Sensational Rifat Sharif murder case witness-turned-accused Ayesha Siddiqa Minni is getting legal support from legal aid and human rights organization Ain O Salish Kendra (ASK).

A four member team of ASK arrived in Minni's Barguna residence Saturday (July 20) afternoon and talked to her father.

Barguna District Bar Association Secretary General Advocate Md Mahbubul Bari Aslam told Banglanews that the ASK lawyers will help him about the hearing of Minni's bail plea to be held Sunday (July 21). 

On Friday (July 19), Minni was sent to jail after she had confessed to her involvement in killing her husband Rifat Sharif in Barguna sadar upazila.

Minni made the confession before the court of Barguna Senior Judicial Magistrate Md Sirajul Islam Gazi around 5pm Friday (July 19), on the second day of her five-day remand.

The court then ordered her to land in jail.

Barguna Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC, Investigation) Humayun Kabir confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

After being taken to the Barguna Police Lines for interrogation, Minni was shown arrested Tuesday (July 16) night, as she was appeared linked to the killing incident.

The next afternoon, Barguna Senior Judicial Magistrate Court placed her on remand for five days following a plea of police.
