CHATTOGRAM:   The Anti Corruption Commission arrested Revenue Officer (RO) Nazim Uddin in a graft case on Thursday evening (January 10).

The arrest was made during a raid conducted at his office in Customs House, Chattogram.

ACC also seized Taka 6 lakhs from his cupboard.

ACC Deputy Director Mahbubul Alam told Banglanews: “Nazim Uddin was caught red-handed with the money.”

Speaking to Banglanews, Customs House Commissioner Dr. AKM Nuruzzaman said the RO was suspended, as allegation shows evidence primarily.

A probe body has been formed over the matter. Upon the report, a letter will be sent to the chairman of NBR, the commissioner also said.
