DHAKA: Chattogram Challengers on Wednesday (Dec 11) registered their first win over the Sylhet Thunder in the first T20 match of Bangabandhu BPL (Bangladesh Premier League) at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

The Thunder had to bat first after losing the toss and posted a moderate total of 162 runs in 20 overs riding on Mohammad Mithun’s 84 runs off 48. Johnson Charles, however, scored 35 runs off just 23 balls.

In reply, Imrul Kayes hit 61 runs off 38 runs with two fours and five sixes, Chadwick Walton 49 not out and Avishka Fernando 33 guiding the Challengers to victory with six balls remaining.
