DHAKA: National cricket team Test skipper Shakib Al Hasan took part in a campaign here to raise awareness against mosquito-borne viral fever dengue which has taken an epidemic form countrywide.

He called on established and sensible persons of the society to stand by the dengue patients.

The ace all-rounder made the call from the campaign held at Banani Bidyaniketan School & College Thursday (August 1).

Shakib Al Hasan encouraged the students to remain aware about the viral fever.

He also shared his own experience of suffering from dengue once.

He thinks social awareness in the main weapon to prevent dengue.

"Everyone must spread awareness about it," added Shakib Al Hasan.
