DHAKA: Left-arm spinner Taijul Islam strengthened Bangladesh’s chance of winning the second Test against Zimbabwe and square off the two-match series with a dramatic five-wicket haul on Tuesday (Nov 13).

Taijul finished with 5-107 as Bangladesh bowled out Zimbabwe for 304 runs in the first innings to take a massive 218-run lead at stumps on the third day.

The visitors needed 322 to avoid a follow on, but all they could manage was 304, with the injured Tendai Chatara not even fit enough to bat.

It now depends on the Tigers, but everyone needs to wait till the morning of the fourth day to find out the end. Zimbabwe had won the first Test in Sylhet.
