CHATTOGRAM: Chattogram City Corporation’s returning office declared legal the nomination papers of the seven candidates out of nine in the CCC mayoral polls.

However, the returning office, canceled the nominations of two independent candidates.

Three of the major candidates who were declared valid are Awami League’s Rezaul Karim Chowdhur, BNP’s Dr Shahdat Hossain and Jatiya Party’s Md Solaiman Alam Sheth.

CCC’s Returning Officer Mohammad Hasanuzzaman announced them valid on Sunday (Mar 01) morning.

The CCC election is slated to be held on March 29.
