DHAKA: Police detained three leaders of BNP including its Training Affairs Secretary ABM Mosharraf Hossain, from the Jatiya Press Club premises in the city on Friday (November 29).

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shahbagh Police Station under Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Abul Hasan told Banglanews: "Three persons were detained in connection with the Tuesday incident."

A case was filed with Shahbagh Police Station against 500 BNP leaders and activists including the party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir over charges of vandalism and assault on police while demanding release of BNP chairperson on Khaleda Zia on Tuesday (November 26).

Apart from clash between BNP men and police, the agitators allegedly vandalized several vehicles on the road
