BANDARBAN: A local leader of Awami League was shot to death by criminals in Rulaing area Rowangchhari upazila of the district on Monday (July 22).

The deceased was identified as Mong Pru Thoi, president of Taracha union unit AL in Rowangchhari upazila 

Locals said criminals shot Mong Pru Thoi in Rulaing area in the morning, leaving him wounded critically.  Later, he was taken to Bandarban sadar hospital where doctors declared him dead.

Shariful Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Rowangchhari Police Station, told Banglanews that on information, a team of police has been sent to the spot.
