JP Acting Chairman GM Quader, Secretary General Mashiur Rahman Ranga and former secretary general Ruhul Amin Howlader, among others, were present.

Talking to Banglanews, JP Presidium member Syed Abu Hossain Babla expressed firm determination that the party will remain united and there is no scope to grouping.

However, the body will be taken to Baitul Mukarram National Mosque where the deceased's third namaj-e-janaja will be held after Asr prayer.

Earlier, in the morning, second namaj-e-janaja of leader of opposition in the parliament HM Ershad was held at the South Plaza of National Parliament Complex.

The party chief is supposed to be buried at Combined Military Graveyard in Dhaka Tuesday. But, the decision may change, said Ranga.

Fondly called as 'Palli Bondhu', 90-year-old former president and chief of Army staff HM Ershad breathed his last at early hours of Sunday at Combined Military Hospital (CMH, Dhaka) after suffering from various old age complications including low hemoglobin count, liver complications, and lung and kidney infections for long.
