CUMILLA: Voting at all centres in Titas upazila of the district has been suspended ‘following allegations of gross irregularities’ in the fourth phase of fifth upazila parishad elections.

“Voting has been suspended around 3:45pm over gross irregularities”, Md Abul Fzzal Mir, Cumilla Deputy Commissioner, told Banglanews about the updates on Sunday (March 31). 

Earlier, voting at three polling centres in the upazila suspended following the allegation of attempting to capture the centres by miscreants. 

Counting of ballots begun as voting in fourth phase of the 5th upazila parishad elections ended in 107 upazilas amid tight security measures Sunday (March 31).

The balloting started at 8am and continued till 4pm, without any break.
