DHAKA: Jatiya Oikyafront has called an urgent meeting of its steering committee for Friday (March 22).

The meeting is scheduled to be held at central office of Oikyafront at Jaman Tower around 4:00pm on the day, Jahangir Alam Mintu, head of Jatiya Oikyafront office, told Banglanews.

Earlier in the day, the leaders of the opposition alliance walked out of a meeting with the Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda citing “inappropriate behavior”.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and top brass of Jatiya Oikyafront will attend the meeting with Oikyafront convener Dr Kamal Hossian in the chair, he added.

The Oikyafront leaders are expected to discuss ongoing situation of the country and fix their next course of plan, said sources.
