Quota leader Nur elected Ducsu VP, Rabbani GS

DHAKA:  Quota reformists’ leader Nurul Haq Nur takes top post of Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu) and Bangladesh Chhatra Legaue (BCL) candidate Golam Rabbani bagged the post of general secretary.

DU Vice Chancellor Md Akhtaruzzaman announced the results around 3:24am Tuesday (Mar 12).

Nurul Haq Nur, a joint convener of Bangladesh General Students’ Rights Protection Council, got 11,062 votes while BCL's GS candidate Golam Rabbani secured 10,484 and AGS candidate Saddam Hossain around 15,000 votes.

However, Bangladesh Chhatra Legaue (BCL) candidates were elected vice-presidents in 12 Hall union polls while independent candidates in six halls.

Besides, BCL nominees were elected general secretaries in 14 Hall unions while independent candidates bagged the post in 4 hall unions.
