AL not tensed about Oikyo Jote: Quader Obaidul Quader talks to reporters

DHAKA: Awami League Secretary General Obaidul Quader said the people of the country and the ruling party aren’t anxious about the newly-formed political alliance Oikyo Jote.

Obaidul Quader, also the minister for road transport & bridges, said the leaders of are Oikyo Jote “detached from the mass people”.  

“Majority of them are detached from people. The alliance of these detached leaders doesn’t matter to the people of Bangladesh. We have nothing to be worried on this,” he said.

The minister was talking to the reporters after paying tribute to the Aug 15 victims at the Banani Graveyard, marking birthday of Sheikh Russel.
