DHAKA: Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan has condoled the death of former home minister and Awami League Presidium member advocate Sahara Khatun MP.

In a message, the Bashundhara Group Chairman on Saturday (July 10) expressed deep shock and sorrow at the demise of the veteran politician.

He said the country lost a competent and honest public leader with her death. 

Ahmed Akbar Sobhan prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.

Meanwhile, Advocate Sahara Khatun died at Bumrungrad Hospital in Thailand at 12:25am on Friday (local time).
