Bangladesh confirms 6th coronavirus death, 3 more cases

DHAKA: Bangladesh on Wednesday (April 1) confirmed the 6th death from coronavirus disease while three more persons were infected with the virus in last 24 hours.

One of patients has recovered in last 24 hours while the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country stands now at 54. 

Health Minister Zahid Maleque disclosed the figures at a press briefing through online on Wednesday. 

Besides, Bangladesh earlier on March 25 reported fifth death from coronavirus. Currently, 22 patients are now undergoing treatment and 26 patients recovered so far. 

The death toll from the coronavirus or COVID-19 has crossed 42,000 globally as of Tuesday noon (Bangladesh time).

Coronavirus has so far infected about 8.6 lakh people around the world, according to worldometer.
