NARAYANGANJ: An unidentified drug peddler was killed in a reported gunfight with Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) at Colony area under Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj early on Friday (February 21).

The identity of the deceased was not ascertained.

2 pistols, 2 magazines, 7 rounds of bullets, 296 bottles of Phensedyl, 5 kg of hemp and a private car were seized from them, said Company commander of RAB-1 Purbachal Camp Major Abdullah Al Mehedi.

Dead body will be sent to Narayanganj Sadar hospital for post-mortem. A case will be filed with Rupganj Police Station, said Abdullah Al Mehedi.
