DHAKA: Coronavirus will create negative impact on the ongoing Chinese projects in Bangladesh, said Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Li Jiming.

“Many Chinese nationals have gone to the country on New Year's holiday. They aren't returning right now. As a result, these projects may be a little late,” said Li Jiming.

Jiming said while talking to diplomatic correspondents at DCAB Talk at Jatiya Press Club on Monday (February 17).

About 8,000 Chinese citizens are working on the Chinese projects. And there are about 10,000 Chinese nationals in Bangladesh.

Chinese envoy believes that Myanmar will have to take initiative to end the Rohingya crisis.
