CHATTOGRAM: A fire reportedly has broken out at Parabat Express on its way to Sylhet on Friday (January 24).
The power car of the train caught on fire at Brahmanbaria railway station at around 8:15 am.
No one was hurt. Train service returned to normal after 30 minutes.
Chief commercial officer of Railway's East Division Nazmul Islam told Banglanews that the fire issued from train’s power car, but no one was injured. After 30 minutes, the train movement was normal.
Eastern Railway Division’s Chief Transportation Officer (DTO) Omar Farooq told Banglanews that the Parabat Express Train left Dhaka for Sylhet at 7.15 am. Upon its arrival at Brahmanbaria railway station, a fire broke out at around 8. 15 am.
