MOULVIBAZAR: Three members of a family among five were hacked to death in Barlekha upazila of Moulvibazar district early Sunday (Jan 19).

The incident occurred in a Pallartal Tea Garden under Uttar Shahbazpur union of the upazilla, Banglanews correspondent reports. 

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. 

Police suspected that family feud could be the reason behind the killings.

Barlekha Police Station OC (Officer-in-Charge) Yasinul Haque confirmed the matter to Banglanews. 

“We are on the way to the sport…details will be known later,” the OC said.
