DHAKA: A Dhaka court has issued arrest warrants against 10 persons, including editor and publisher of Bangla daily Prothom Alo Matiur Rahman in a case filed over the death of Nayeemul Abrar Rahat at a programme, a ninth grader of Dhaka Residential Model College.

Dhaka’s Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Kaiserul Islam passed the order on Thursday (Jan 16).

Abrar was electrocuted during the anniversary programme of Prothom Alo’s youth magazine Kishor Alo on Friday. 

On November 6, the victim’s father Mojibur Rahman filed the case with the Fourth Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court in Dhaka in this connection.
