Elephants trample farmer to death in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM:  A farmer was trampled to death by wild elephants when he was working at his vegetable farm in Boalkhali upazila of Chattogram on Monday (December 16).

The deceased was-- identified as Rupan Das, 42, son of late Dhirendra Das—a resident of the aforementioned area.

The incident happened when three wild elephants were returning to the woods. The man died on the spot. Dead body was handed over to the family without post-mortem because of their request, said Helal Uddin Faruqi, inspector of Boalkhali Police Station.

With this, four persons have been killed by elephant attack within one month in this upazila.
