CHATTOGRAM: An official of Election Commission (EC) was placed on four-day remand for providing counterfeit NID to Rohingya people.

The court of Metropolitan Magistrate Mehnaz Rahman passed the order on Tuesday (November 19) against Mohammad Nazim Uddin, who is an office assistant of Chattogram EC office.

Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested Nazim Uddin on Monday.

Kamruzzaman, Additional Deputy Commissioner Police (prosecution) of the Chattogram City confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
