DHAKA:  A Dhaka court has fixed December 1 for pronouncing the verdict in the case filed over the death of two students of Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment College in an accident on Airport road in the capital.

Judge KM Emrul Kayesh of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court set the date after hearing arguments from the state and defence counsel on Thursday (Nov 14).

On July 29, two Jabal-E-Noor Paribahan buses allegedly raced each other moments before one of them ploughed into a crowd killing Abdul Karim Rajib, 18, and Dia Khanam Mim, 17, in Kurmitola.

Dia's father Md Jahangir filed the case with Cantonment Police Station following the accident.
